Data collection procedures are varied to ensure a multifaceted analysis. Most quantitative data will be collected from attendance, access and service logs; certificates of completion; and reports generated by the institution related to student achievement and persistence. Most qualitative data will be collected from specially designed student and faculty surveys. The individual Institutional Research Offices, Project Director, Co-director, and Coordinators will be responsible for collecting the data.
Data Analysis
These procedures will include the establishment of baseline data during the first year, the development of qualitative instruments to assess student and faculty satisfaction as measures of effectiveness, and the establishment of essential quantitative measures analyzed with appropriate statistical tests in order to document the project’s impact. Data analysis procedures will be selected according to the type of data collected, the outcomes specified, as ell as their validity and utility. The individual Institutional Research Offices, Project Director, Co-director, and the External Evaluator will be responsible for data analysis. The following table relates the data elements, data collection procedures, and personnel to each activity objective.
