Relating the Activity Objectives to the Institutional Problems and Goals

Implementing this Activity and successfully meeting its objectives will allow the partner
institutions to achieve their major institutional goals set forth in its academic programs,
institutional management, and fiscal stability areas. It will also address the major problems
discussed in the CDP by: developing comprehensive student support services that respond to
students’ needs; increasing information literacy resources available to support students’
development as independent decision makers; expanding and stabilizing access to networked
information resources throughout the campuses; providing training and enhanced support to
students and faculty in their use of information technology; providing electronic classrooms
throughout the campus; meeting students’ and accreditation agencies’ expectations for
technology use; increasing student academic achievement in gatekeeper/bottleneck courses;
maximizing student motivation, satisfaction, adjustment to college life, and hence, retention;
providing the facilities for Faculty and student to effectively use technology, practice the
acquired skills and develop quality materials for the teaching-learning process. The following
table relates the Activity Objectives to the Institutional Problems, Weaknesses, and Goals.
