Strength and Weaknesses
 

During the fall of 2001, the Chancellor appointed a task force to analyze the institution’s strengths and weaknesses using the evidence gathered for the 1998-99 selfT-study. The efforts of this task force, which integrated the input of all sectors of the university, produced a document entitled, Analysis of Strengths and Weaknesses by Areas to Measure Educational and Institutional Effectiveness (Oct. 2001). In 2004-05, UPRH successfully underwent its Periodic Review process and is currently preparing its response to MSCHE reviewers’ comments. 

In summary, the interchange between campuses in the development of this CDP assures that the final product incorporated the most thorough and constructive analyses and the best designs for activities. The CDP that follows is the end product of lengthy planning processes at both institutions involving faculty, staff, students, and administration, as well as local business, industry, and community organizations. Through this process and based upon strategic planning and assessment models, and feedback from local and national accrediting agencies, the partner institutions constituents have been able to identify the following common list of strengths, weaknesses and significant problems in the designated areas:
